DOE sending construction-stormwater permit invoices

From the Department of Ecology

The Department of Ecology is preparing to mail out construction stormwater permit invoices for fiscal year 2017. These invoices will cover the time period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.

If stormwater discharges from the construction site are eliminated, and the site has undergone final stabilization, please submit a Notice of Termination (NOT) form to the DOE. This NOT will allow the DOE to conduct a final inspection and approve/deny the permit-termination request. The NOT can be found at this link.

In order to not be billed for fiscal year 2017, NOTs must be received by the DOE no later than June 30, 2016. DOE does not prorate fees to a permit-termination date. Any permit that is still in place with DOE after July 1 will continue to owe the amount invoiced for fiscal year 2017 -- regardless of whether or not the permit has been terminated.

If the site has been sold or transferred to a different operator, permit fees will continue to be assessed to the permit holder of record until a Transfer of Coverage Form or NOT has been received by DOE. The transfer form can be found at this link.

If you have questions regarding your permit fees, please email or call Charles Gilman at 360.407.6425.
