Your Comments on I-1033 Needed
AGC has been asked by a business coalition to oppose Initiative 1033 a Tim Eyman initiative on the November ballot that limits annual growth of state city and county general fund revenue to the rate of inflation and population growth. AGC’s Government Affairs Council (GAC) leadership recommends that AGC oppose the measure because of its negative effects on government agencies’ ability to fund needed infrastructure projects but before taking final action the Board of Trustees would like to hear from members. Conference calls will be set up in each AGC District to discuss the initiative. Meanwhile members are encouraged to send their thoughts to AGC’s Director of Government Affairs Rick Slunaker via email or call 360-352-5000.
