Miles Resources Acquires Woodworth & Company, Inc.

Miles Resources headquartered in Auburn has entered into an agreement to acquire the construction and manufacturing operations and related assets of long-time business associate and joint venture partner Woodworth & Company of Tacoma. The transaction is expected to close later this summer.

Miles Resources is part of the Miles Sand and Gravel group of companies a leading supplier of aggregates and ready mixed concrete to industrial commercial and residential customers throughout Western Washington. Woodworth & Company founded in 1921 specializes in heavy construction and asphalt paving.

Jeff Woodworth and Walt Miles believe the loyal customers of both companies will benefit from this transaction. In addition the combined knowledge and expertise of the two firms will greatly enhance the resources and services that they offer.
