Washington Business Week Program Accepting Applications for Summer

In not too many years todays high school students will by your employees and customers. The better prepared they are in terms of education basic work skills good citizenship and appreciation for a positive business climate the better.

AGC members can help high school students get a head start for life after high school by letting your employees customers and clients know about the Washington Business Week Programs including the Construction Pathway. These are intense fun-filled residential summer camps held on college campuses around the state. At each of the four week-long programs there are about 250 high school students from around the state along with 30 business advisors serving as mentors.

Now in its 34th year Washington Business Week exposes high school students to business concepts and opportunities. The program isnt just about business though - its about showing students how what they learn in school has value and application in the real world. At the same time they develop life skills that will be valuable regardless of any chosen career or college path.

Students can choose to attend the traditional Business Week Program or a pathway in Healthcare or Construction. The programs are open to any high school student grade 9-12 including private and home-schooled students. Two college credits are available.
