Holiday Spirit - AGC Members Fill Tacoma Food Bank

As the 2008 Holiday Season approaches it is time again to count our many blessings. This year has brought even more change to the world we live in. Unfortunately one of the biggest changes is the increase of families in our local communities that need help providing food and gifts for children during the Holiday Season. With this in mind the AGC Southern District Community Services Committee delivered several thousand dollars to the St. Charles Food Bank in Tacoma last week. The money will be used to assist in the delivery of food baskets to deserving families just before Thanksgiving. The money was raised at Southern District dinners throughout the year and another round of donations will be taken to St. Charles right before Christmas. AGC staff not only helped deliver funds to the food bank they also decided to lend their muscles as gift baskets were stocked with food. We appreciate the generous donations produced by our great members in the Southern District. |
