Webinar: Off-Road Diesel Issues Facing the Construction Industry

Did you know that implementation of EPAs Off-Road Diesel Rule began in 2007 with the requirement to use Low Sulfur Diesel in all off-road equipment - yet engine manufacturers are still struggling to develop the emission-control technologies needed to meet EPAs Tier 4 emission standards? (Tier 4 requires an unprecedented 90 percent reduction in construction exhaust from new equipment by 2014.)

In addition in order to ensure optimum performance of new Tier 4-approved engine systems oil refiners will need to start producing only Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel by 2010 which may create supply and distribution issues in the near future.

The state of California and other agencies are already forcing contractors to retrofit in-use diesel equipment at the contractors expense through new state regulations and contract specifications. If Californias retrofit standards meet with Federal approval other states may soon adopt and enforce.

What does this all mean for you? Join AGC of America and the Diesel Technology Forum for a free webinar to learn about clean diesel technology and the regulations and requirements facing todays construction industry.
