National Safety Awards for Multiple AGC of WA Members
One more bit of evidence of the commitment to safety made by AGC of Washington members: Of 29 first place winners of national AGC-Willis Construction Safety Excellence Awards presented at the recent national convention five are AGC of Washington members!
Congratulations to Mowat Construction Co. Guy F. Atkinson Construction BNBuilders Inc. Greenberry Industrial and Sicklesteel Cranes Inc. for finishing first in their respective categories. In addition Granite Construction Co. and Advanced American Construction received second place awards and Shimmick Construction Co. received a third place award.

The Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) are an annual ranking of construction safety programs. “Safety is always a top priority for the construction industry” said Joseph H. Jarboe AGC of Americas president and senior vice president of Bethesda Md.-based Clark Construction Group. “These companies showcase the highest commitment to keeping their projects and their employees safe.”
Awards are distributed for categories based on the size of the company the amount of work performed and the type of work performed. Winners are selected by a panel of five independent safety professionals within the government corporate and insurance industries.
