AGC Education Foundation and AGC have teamed with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research width=200Center the Manufacturing Industrial Council and Seattle Public Schools to provide this opportunity to discuss career-related STEM-based learning.

This event will spark more conversations among teachers district staff and representatives from a range of STEM-based industries said AGC Education Foundation Executive Director Diane Kocer. Our hope is to support teachers and students and to grow the network and resources that can foster engaged student learning in STEM and this dialogue with Superintendent Banda is an important step in that process.

Banda became Seattles School Superintendent on July 1 2012. Previously he spent four years as Superintendent of the 20000-student Anaheim City School District. He has expressed his support for creating a college-going culture with a focus on science technology engineering and mathematics.
