Improvements Keep AGC Building Almost Full
Under the direction of the Property Committee chaired by Gary Smith of Lease Crutcher Lewis AGCs iconic building continues to be improved and maintained as Class A office space with an enviable -- and practically unheard of -- vacancy rate of nearly zero! The adjoining marina also owned by the association is receiving significant upgrades as well.
Recent visitors to the AGC Building have likely noticed the most recent improvement project -- the painting of the buildings exterior giving an attractive new look to the 10-story buildings reinforced concrete. AGC members Tatley Grund and Grund & Company are close to completion of the project.
The exterior painting is the latest in a long list of improvements undertaken by the Property Committee in the last couple of years. A recap of some of the projects:
• McCormick and Schmicks Harborside Remodel: If any AGC members havent yet had the opportunity to do so they should come check out the elegant remodel of Harborside Restaurant which reopened last fall (and its almost time for patio dining at Harborside!).
• Second Floor Commons Area: The recent remodel of unused space in the lobby area (next to Starbucks) provided a new public space for the enjoyment of tenants and visitors to the building. The room is available to AGC members and tenants for after-hour private events as well.
• Dock Improvements: Moorage tenants have been pleased with improvements to A and B Docks with similar work scheduled on remaining docks in the future.
Additional interior remodeling will take place this year helping to keep the AGC Building as a sought-after home for Seattle businesses and a valuable asset for the association.
