NCM Achieves National Safety Recognition
AGC of Washington member NCM of Snoqualmie was named one of the nations safest construction companies by AGC of America. NCM received a first-place Construction Safety Excellence Award (CSEA) during the national convention.
“This award reflects the everyday commitment we make to the safety of our employees customers and the communities in and around our job sites here in the Northwest as well as across the country” said John Hennessey Chairman Board of Directors NCM. “The AGC National 2011 CSEA award is truly exceptional and further confirms this commitment to safety and the recognition we’ve been honored to receive for our safety programs over the years.”
Other firms with AGC of Washington memberships that received first-place awards 
include Flatiron Construction Corp. JE Dunn Construction Kiewit Infrastructure West PCL Construction. Second place awards were presented to Guy F. Atkinson Construction LLC and Granite Construction.
“Firms like these are setting the highest standard of safety for the construction industry” said Kristine Young the association’s past president and the CEO of Des Moines Iowa-based Miller the Driller. “These firms have found a way to make every single employee a zealous advocate for workplace safety.”
Young said that these companies were selected because of their strong commitment to safety. She noted that the companies were dedicated to the development and implementation of premier safety and loss prevention programs. The companies also demonstrated outstanding leadership in safety and occupation health management risk control safety training work site hazard identification and control and safety program innovation.
Awards are distributed for a number of categories based on the size of the company the amount of work performed and the type of work performed. CSEA winners are selected by a panel of five independent safety professionals within the government corporate and insurance industries. Final judging for the awards program took place during AGC of America’s annual convention.
