U.S. House Passes Important Federal Contracting Directive
By a vote of 322-96 the U.S. House passed a bill that contains federal contracting language advocated by AGC of Washington members Southern District staff and AGC of America. The measure will take a long and hard look at competition in construction acquisition programs. Specifically Congress is interested in reviewing the overreliance on the very large Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC) that limit competition. To read this provision in the bill click here. The bill still has other hurdles to clear but last week’s vote was an important endorsement. If you have questions on this topic contact AGC Southern District Manager Tim Attebery.
