Labor Update: Negotiations with Laborers Completed

The Laborers agreed to a freeze of the June 1 2009 wage/fringe package through May 31 2012. Effective Jan. 1 2011 $0.05 will be diverted from wages of all classifications to apprenticeship and training. In addition a new Group VI was created called Tunnel Work; pay will be the same as Group V and all work performed under VI will have an added apprentice/training contribution of $0.10 per hour. Teamster negotiations continue.
