Alternative Contracting Methods: CPARB Wants Your Input
On Sept. 16 the Capital Projects Advisory Review Board (CPARB) will hold a Special Stakeholders Meeting. Plus AGC members are encouraged to complete a CPARB-sponsored survey should they be contacted about it.
The Special Stakeholders Meeting is open to the public and the purpose is to collect input from stakeholders (architects engineers contractors subcontractors) on the current Washington State alternative public works process and how it is practiced. Input received will be included with CPARB’s 2011 report to the Legislature in keeping with its mission to evaluate and make recommendations to state policymakers on alternative public works contracting methods as well as traditional contracting methods for construction projects.
Stakeholders that have proposed but never been selected on an alternative delivery project are strongly encouraged to attend to provide input on the process.
Date: Thursday September 16 2010
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Address: 1949 S. State St Tacoma WA 98405; Centennial Building I; room DCCEL 1st floor

In addition over the next few weeks contractors who are working on public projects may be asked to complete a CPARB-sponsored survey.
