Operating Engineers Ratify Two-Year Agreement
The negotiations between AGC of Washington and the Operating Engineers union have been successfully completed with the ratification of an agreement by Local 302 and Local 612 membership. Recognizing the current economic conditions the Union and AGC representing its contractor members have agreed to a freeze of wages and fringe benefit contributions for two years until May 31 2012.
The AGC negotiating committee was led by Co-Chairs Brett Ferullo Northwest Construction and Mike Tucci of Tucci and Sons and also included Pat McGarry Manson Construction; Tim Lee Lakeside Industries; Bob Johansen GLY; Bardie Scarbrough; Granite and Dennis Ahl Kiewit Bridge & Marine.
The results of the Carpenters ratification vote will be known on July 9. The negotiations with the Cement Masons Laborers and Teamsters are continuing.
