Get to Know AGC Staff: Erica Peterson

As Continuing Education Director for the AGC Education Foundation Erica Peterson recruits instructors coordinates and schedules classes does website maintenance goes on company visits and evaluates upcoming trends for classes and seminars. Her favorite parts of her day are interacting with clients and instructors keeping up Education Foundation relationships and investing time in developing future plans for the Foundation. Erica also sits on two advisory boards Renton Technical College and Seattle Central Woods Campus.

Erica’s favorite moment here at the AGC is the staff fun day last year where everyone formed teams got on electric boats and did a scavenger hunt on Lake Union. While her team didn’t win she said it was still a lot of fun. Her other favorite moments are attending golf tournaments especially the Safety Team and the Central District golf tournaments.

In her spare time Erica sings in the Seattle Symphony Chorale plays on co-ed volleyball and softball teams runs half marathons goes fishing with her father and enjoys finding local happy hours with friends. Erica grew up in Mossyrock Washington with her parents and her sister. She then moved to Seattle for college and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in community and environmental planning.

Erica said her hopes for the Foundation are to continue promoting the applied math program and to find more classes in niche areas.
