Important Notice! Webinar to discuss Workers' Comp Initiative I-1082

This webinar will be your opportunity to hear more about Initiative 1082 which will be on the November ballot. I-1082 would allow private insurers to provide workers’ comp coverage in Washington State. The webinar produced exclusively for AGC by the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) and the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) the nation’s largest provider of workers’ compensation data will be held on Tuesday June 8 beginning at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time. PCI and NCCI personnel will participate from their offices across the country. They estimate that the program will last from 60 to 90 minutes depending on questions and discussion. The first part of the webinar will cover a brief overview of the initiative; private market system vs. state fund (benefits for employers and injured workers); and Q&A. The second part will cover how competition works; examples of recent privatization efforts and Q&A.

To register: Email Nancy O’Neil or call her at 360-352-5000 and you will be provided with the webinar log-in information. The webinar is the last key element in AGC’s evaluation of the Initiative which has included discussions in each AGC District. Information received by AGC members will hopefully help in your evaluation of the proposal and aid the discussions of any possible AGC position on the ballot proposition.
