Industry Starts Year on an Upswing
Washington State experienced one of the most precipitous drops in construction employment among the states during 2009 – a 19.1% decline 45th worst in the country. However this state had one of the biggest one-month increases in construction employment between Dec. 2009 and Jan. 2010 – a 2.7% increase 6th best in the nation.
