As  the Development Coordinator for over three years Megan Orthmeyer secures resources for the AGC Education Foundation’s popular continuing education and school outreach programs. She helps to grow and maintain relationships for the Foundation and works on the endowments the annual fund planned giving and the scholarship programs.  She also helps with the K-12 program.

Megan was born in Missoula Montana and graduated from to WSU (go Cougs!). She was a volunteer coordinator and worked on workforce readiness in high needs industries – construction being one of them. She always wanted to work for a non-profit business which makes working for the Foundation a perfect fit! Megan is also currently attending the UW to get a certificate in non-profit management staying on her toes and learning new strategies for the annual fund and other key non-profit topics. When she isn’t at work or at school Megan likes to travel attend the theatre and go out dancing.

For her favorite AGC moment Megan said had to be when Diane Kocer Director of the Education Foundation threw her a bridal shower. Diane invited everyone to attend and lured even the men to participate with ice cream sundaes. Wearing a paper veil and listening to wedding music Megan celebrated and had lots of laughs with all of the AGC and Education Foundation staff.

Just over a year and a half ago Megan married TJ Orthmeyer who is a post-baccalaureate student at Seattle University studying premed and working as a technician and a scribe. TJ supports Megan and the Foundation at events like Rebuilding Together where Foundation staff AGC members and staff Future Leadership Forum participants and others rebuilt and repainted the downtown Seattle Northwest Harvest making it more efficient and more cheerful for Northwest Harvest staff.

Megan is a highly valued member of our team Diane Kocer Education Foundation Director said. She is credited with enhancing out donor relations building new programs and continually exceeds all goals presented to her.
