New AGC Southern District Headquarters Purchased

In late 2008 AGC sold its office space on Pacific Avenue in downtown Tacoma and is now finishing the purchase of a building in Fife.

In a survey AGC members reported that they would prefer office space that did not require paid parking and was conveniently located near a major freeway. The downtown Tacoma office space did not offer these conveniences and the new structure in Fife does.

In early 2009 the association formed a Building Search Committee made-up of AGC members Scott Seelye Jim Bozich Jeff Stroud and lead by Len Zarelli. Len and other AGC members spent a healthy chunk of time reviewing structures that were on the market and some that were not looked at each structure’s ability to produce income for AGC and completed an exhaustive level of due diligence associated with a purchase. The Building Search Committee deserves to be commended for their voluntary service to AGC.

After receiving approval from the AGC Property Committee and AGC Board of Directors a purchase was executed. The structure is located at 3601 20th Street East in Fife and AGC will notify its membership when the move has been completed in 2010.
