STP Unit 6: Problem Solving & Risk Management
This course will focus on managing the construction safety function. You will learn how to: select methods and equipment to prevent loss and ensure a safe working environment, delegate responsibility for safety, equipment maintenance, identify common construction hazards proactively, administer an accident prevention program at the job site level, and handle a job site inspection by a regulatory agency. We will review proactive and reactive problem-solving strategies in addition to the documentation, reference materials, and advisory services that are available to the construction supervisor.
All transfers or cancellations must be received one week prior to the class start date to avoid forfeiting 100% of the class fee. To clarify, if the class is on Tuesday, you must cancel the Monday of the preceding week by 5pm.
