VIRTUAL Northern District Member Breakfast: Transforming Construction Waste into Opportunity

Add to Calendar

*We have had to pivot this event to a virtual meeting, as unfortunately there was a miscommunication with our venue and they did not have us down for our event and we learned of this, this morning. We will not be meeting at Shawn O’Donnell’s in Everett but we will move forward with this presentation to be done as a virtual Zoom meeting from 8-9 AM

Presented by Jennine Zari, construction sales manager at WM.

The construction industry is a major contributor to global waste, filling up landfills and harming the environment. But it also holds incredible potential for positive change.

In this presentation, we’ll cover:
• Why Recycling Matters: Discover how recycling in construction isn’t just good for the planet but also saves money and conserves resources.
• What Can Be Recycled: Learn about common materials like concrete, metal, wood, and asphalt, and how they can be given a new life.
• Innovative Solutions: Explore cutting-edge techniques and technologies that are revolutionizing construction waste management.
• Success Stories: See real-world examples of how recycling has benefited construction projects.
• Local Regulations: Understand the specific rules for construction debris in King & Snohomish Counties.

By adopting recycling practices, we can cut down on waste, shrink our environmental footprint and pave the way for a more sustainable future. Let’s explore how we can make construction a force for good!

Jennine Zari, construction sales manager at WM, has been with the company since 2010 and will celebrate her 15th anniversary in April 2025.
