Culture of CARE Forum: 2024 Elections & the Workplace

Add to Calendar

With the election looming and the potential for emotionally charged political exchanges, employers are understandably concerned about what they can and cannot do to manage political discourse in the workplace and avoid employee-morale issues that can occur when personal opinions can differ.

Just this last term, the Washington State legislature also adopted new limits on employers, which prohibits mandatory meetings on political topics that members will want to be aware of. Join us for an overview of these and other laws, and a roundtable discussion on strategies employers might want to consider adopting to ensure a supportive environment for employees during what may be an intensely divisive political season ahead.

We are thrilled to have Amy A Robinson from Miller Nash LLP give us a thoughtful rundown of the legal and employment-law perspectives on political speech in the workplace.

As always, we will also have lively discussion on this subject as well as a new resource highlight provided by the AGC Culture of CARE steering committee.

Register now, as you won’t want to miss this event, just in time for the primaries!
