Seattle District Member Breakfast: WSCC Addition - Seattle’s Model Urban Convention Center

Come to get an insider's view of Seattle's wonderful new Washington State Convention Center Addition.

The building was conceived to be a model of the modern urban convention center. This new building will be alive 24-7, connecting Capitol Hill to downtown, and opening up both neighborhoods to both residents and visitors from out of town.

Jenkins / Reddington / Smith

To learn about the building’s innovative design and how it meets the City's needs, you'll hear from Michael Jenkins, City of Seattle design review director, and lead designer Mark Reddington, partner with LMN Architects. Talking about the construction phase with be Lease Crutcher Lewis’ Executive Vice President, Gary Smith. Gary will walk the audience through the building's unique features and construction challenges, and talk about how the GC/CM delivery method was executed for positive results.
