Every three years Seattle’s construction codes are updated to address new technologies and to incorporate lessons learned from real-life performance of buildings and structures. The latest significant code changes that were planned to go into effect on July 1, 2020 have been delayed to November 1, 2020 due to COVID-19 and other factors. Join us at our first virtual membership meeting of the year to get a primer on the significance of this year’s changes and to understand how they might affect future projects.
Representatives from DCI Engineers and Langan will be highlighting some of these pending code changes as they relate to structural and geotechnical sectors of our building projects.

All transfers or cancellations must be received 3 business days prior to the event start date to avoid forfeiting 100% of the event fee. To clarify, if the event is on Tuesday, you must cancel the Wednesday of the preceding week by 5pm.
